Alex Hanson is a half-Thai Dallas-based actor and producer. Since entering the industry in 2016, he has focused on developing and producing independent film, theatre, and live events, with an emphasis on Asian arts and artists.
As a producer, Alex has led multiple short film projects and theatrical productions, including a successful run of Kenneth Lonergan’s This Is Our Youth at the Addison Performing Arts Centre and the development of the original stage work Fatherland. His work spans both narrative film and live performance.
He is also the creator of Lights, Camera, Asians!, a mixer series aimed at connecting Asian and Asian American filmmakers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and fostering a more unified and sustainable creative network.
Outside of his film and theatre work, Alex is actively involved with the Thai Cultural Center, where he contributes to cultural programming and performs traditional instruments including the ranat-thum and glong yao.
